Pushpa Devi is the current Chairperson of Raxaul Nagar Parishad, East Champaran, Bihar. She earlier served as the Deputy Chairperson and came into leadership after major administrative changes in the municipal body. She is known for her active role in raising issues related to governance and transparency. Her efforts in highlighting irregularities within the Nagar Parishad brought significant attention to administrative functioning and accountability. Under her leadership, the focus is on improving civic facilities such as sanitation, road development, drainage systems, and overall urban management in Raxaul.

Dhurpati Devi, on the other hand, was the former Chairperson of Raxaul Nagar Parishad who held office before Pushpa Devi. During her tenure, she was responsible for overseeing municipal development and civic services in the town. However, her term ended controversially after serious allegations of misconduct were raised. These included unauthorized recruitment and financial irregularities in municipal works. Following an official inquiry by district authorities, the charges were found to be valid, and she was removed from her position by the Urban Development Department in 2025.
